WHAT THE ELL?

We are ELL, a contemporary jewelry bottega run by second-generation goldsmiths, specializing in unique and bespoke fine jewelry and precious wares crafted from fine metals.

Our goal is to create something truly one-of-a-kind:

Wearable sculptures that merge traditional techniques with continuous experimentation. Post-modern heirlooms designed to make you stop, stare, and ask yourself...

WHO THE ELL?

We are Lorenzo and Luca Cavolini, millennial brothers born in Genoa;

After completing high school, we both moved to Milan.

Luca is the skilled hand that crafts each ELL jewel, while Lorenzo takes care of the creative, art and brand direction.

WHEN THE ELL?

ELL was founded in 2012, initially focusing exclusively on bespoke 925 silver jewelry.

In April 2014, we opened our Milan bottega on Corso di Porta Ticinese, where we crafted numerous collections, exploring diverse creative paths with a commitment to constant innovation.

In September 2024, after much of the Ticinese neighborhood—once a hub for unique, high-quality shopping—was sadly overtaken by low-cost stores, we decided to close our Milan bottega.

This shift prompted us to return to our roots, focusing once again on made to order bespoke 925 silver and gold jewelry.

 

WHY the ELL?

ELL stands for the letter L, as Lorenzo, Luca and Luigi (our father and mentor).
